Beware of False Prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves - Matthew 7:15
Christians have been warned against false prophets appropriating the Lord’s faith again and again in the Bible. However, what we see today are hoards of self-proclaimed Christians and Christian leaders ignoring this extremely important teaching in the Bible, while appropriating God’s words for their own agenda.
The United States of America once said in God they trust. But nowadays what we can see is over 7 million of Americans following a convicted con-man into the fire, destroying what was built by their forefathers in order to establish this con-man, who had violated and acted against nearly all the Commandments in the Book of Genesis, to be their own president. Among them were self-proclaimed Christian leaders and Christian soldiers of God. Christian leaders who told their congregation that they did not receive God’s blessing because they did not donate enough to their churches, Christian leaders who covered up child abuses to protect the name of their churches, and Christian leaders who lied to attack the rights of others, to protect their own establishments. In Jeremiah 14:14, it said these false prophets will offer “false visions, divinations, idolatries, and the delusions of their own minds.”, which is exactly what we saw in America, and in Australia.
In Deuteronomy 18:20, it was clearly stated that “But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, is to be put to death”. When a self-proclaimed Christian in a position of power told her audience that the con-man who had broken numerous commandments and laws in the Bible that he is the modern version of Jesus, how on earth would real Christians not trigger the alarms, if they are truly versed in the Bible? How could they follow someone, who said he can endorse God’s words so he can make some money out of them, is sometimes beyond normal comprehension. Has America fallen that far and that low? Are other countries, who aspired to these kinds of lies and deceptions, including Australia, going to follow these false prophets to hell, while still thinking they are God’s most astounded warriors?
The warning was very clear in Matthew 16:11-12, “How is it you don’t understand that I was not talking to you about bread? But be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees. Then they understood that he was not telling them to guard against the yeast used in bread, but against the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” These so-called modern days self-proclaimed Christians and Christian leaders were waging cultural wars across the globe, attacking people who are not of their own race, who do not agree to their gender views and roles, and who do not agree anything with them. They try to control other people’s lives from a woman’s right to her body, to a person’s right to their basic rights according to their race and origin, and they decry anything they don’t like as ‘woke’ when ‘woke’ means awakened to social inequality. In declaring war to this ‘wokeness’ they basically declare war to social equality, which Christianity was supposed to stand for. Jesus sat and dined with what the Pharisees and Sadducees saw as dirty, sinful and outcast while he walked on earth. It is quite apparent that these self-proclaimed Christian leaders and Christians have become the Pharisees and Sadducees of our age, who were exactly the ones working against Jesus’ teachings, trying to bring Jesus down, and eventually crucifying Jesus on the cross.
Then why is this fire of false prophecy and Christianity Appropriation spreading across the globe seemingly without control?
If we look back into the Bible, that is exactly the same history repeating itself - unwarranted self-assigned pride.
From the Great Flood in the Book of Genesis, the ten plagues in the Book of Exodus, to the account of Jesus’ life - every time it is about the unwarranted pride that humanity crowned itself upon. These so-called Christian leaders and Christians may call themselves Christians in name, but they are, apart from the Christian visage they put on, not the Christians what God’s told us to behave. When you decide to travel to foreign lands and kill indigenous people because they are not, and would not be converted to Christianity, are you behaving like the children of God? I guess not, because you basically violated the sixth commandment. If you proclaim a convicted con-man as the image of God, are you speaking like a Christian? I think not, because you are basically violating the first and the ninth commandments. If you misuse government funding for your own good or for your own political party using loopholes in the law, can you still tell people to trust you because you go to church every Sunday? I doubt so because you have continuously violated the eighth to the tenth commandments. If you act in a shadowy way and lie through your prime ministership and then write a book glorifying God's role in your behaviour, can you still proclaim yourself as a Chistian? Definitely not, because you have held contempt against the third and the ninth commandments. However, in the current world, because this so-called Christian pride comes before God’s words, they appropriate God’s words, cherry picking things to their own content and continue to misguide followers like Lemmings, who will eventually willingly fall off the cliff with them.
For me, the most important warning is - is it worthy to follow these people to hell while thinking that you are going to heaven, because I want to remind all those who called themselves Christians that Jesus had reminded us, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 7:21). Organised faith, or churches, in some cases we called it, was supposed to provide a support system to exhibit the good of the Lord’s teaching, as we should always remember that the most important fruit of the Spirit is Love.
If your Christian leaders or Christian peers are preaching hate, spreading hate, sowing hate and exercising hate, are they still real Christians, or are they just appropriators of Christianity acting as the modern Pharisees and Sadducees? If so, are you one of them, or you can see through them and work against this tide of appropriation of Christianity brought on by these false prophets?
The decision is yours, and utterly yours.
